2012: A Look Back

A 2012 Success Story

2012 was an incredible and hope-filled year of growth at St. Lawrence Place. We wanted to say thank you for being a part of it, and share with you some accomplishments that your support helped make possible.

Last Year We:

*Provided transitional housing and support services to 50 families, including 53 adults and 101 children

*Moved 97% of graduating families into permanent housing

*Received the SC Housing Achievement Award in the Organization Sector at the 2012 Palmetto Affordable Housing Forum

*Had more than 300 volunteers provide 1,310 hours of service

Summer Camp 2012

*Launched a new St. Lawrence Place brand, including a new logo

*Redesigned our website, www.stlawrenceplace.org

*Served 92 school age children in our After School and Summer Programs, including 21 homeless children from The Family Shelter, and 16 children from the surrounding community

*Served 3,880 healthy meals to adults and children

*Held monthly “Family Literacy Night” events where our families shared a meal and read to each other

*Launched a new St. Lawrence Place blog addressing family homelessness and what we are doing to combat the issue (thanks for reading!)
