St. Lawrence Place was awarded 50 shoe certificates from Payless ShoeSource through their annual Payless Shoes 4 Kids program. This is the 4th year we have been honored to receive these certificates, which allow all of the children and teens living at SLP to receive brand new shoes for free.

Dominica has been a resident at St. Lawrence Place since February 2012.  She is approaching the one year mark and has been making great progress towards her goals.  One of Dominica’s major goals was to earn a certificate from Midlands Technical College’s cake decorating program.

SLP Book Club: A Piece of Cake

The holiday season is known for many things, snow, family, gifts but even more- all the delicious, sweet desserts we enjoy! This season, St. Lawrence Place residents were able to sink their teeth into an extraordinary Piece of Cake.  This was no ordinary cake, this cake is a novel written by Cupcake Brown, an author whose raw accounts of her life and how she overcame trials with triumph is an inspiration to all.
