This Saturday, February 21st, will mark the 7th annual Race for the Place and Kids’ Fun Run. The 5k Run/Walk will begin at 8am and the Fun Run will begin at 9am.

Forgive us for just a moment while we brag: the St. Lawrence Place after school program is pretty amazing.  We not only provide a safe, consistent, convenient and affordable after school opportunity for the homeless children living at SLP as well as the kids living at Family Shelter, but we also infuse the program with educational and engaging activities daily!

When Lakasha Martin applied to St. Lawrence Place, she and her daughter Asia were sleeping in their car. Lakasha was in over her head financially, recovering from an addiction, and fleeing domestic violence.

On January 24th, a group of USC students participating in the USC Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service came to SLP to donate 3 hours of their time helping us around campus; we had plenty for them to do!
