Have you heard of Dream Dinners?  How would you like to be able to go home tonight and know that a fully prepared meal was waiting on you; all you have to do is heat it up?  Sounds pretty good, huh?  Well, that’s what Dream Dinners does…and through their unique relationship with St. Lawrence Place, they also allow your meal purchase to help a local non-profit.

Kids Create: Fun Run Excitement! (video)

On Saturday, February 9th, over 55 children under the age of 12, (including some of the children currently living at SLP), participated in the Race for the Place Fun Run to benefit St. Lawrence Place.  Click below to view brief videos of the start line for the 1/4 mile, 1/2 mile, and 1 mile Fun Runs!

When our Worlds Collide

When you work for a non-profit, you live it.  And so does your family.

They really are great friends, even though Michael’s not smiling in this pic!

My boys know and love St. Lawrence Place. They do school projects on the organization, ask for donations instead of birthday presents, and volunteer with friends to make lunches for the children’s program.  Sometimes I wonder what’s going on in those heads as they walk around campus as though they (or their mama) run the place…and then it hits you in the oddest moment. That’s the moment when your two worlds collide.
