On July 17th, the teens at St Lawrence Place held a carwash to raise funds for future activities. The event was a resounding success, raising $230.00. This could not have happened without the hard work and effort of the teens, SLP staff, and those of you who stopped in for a quick vacuum and wash. We would like to send out a huge thanks to all those who made this event a success. And please forgive us if I failed to recognize anyone.

SLP Teens Giving Back

Greetings from the Teen Program! The teens are enjoying some down time since the conclusion of the school year. Though the summer is not all fun in the sun time, our teens have been volunteering at various organizations throughout the Midlands. This past Friday, they had the opportunity of working for a wonderful organization, the Harvest Hope Food Bank (HHFB).

SLP Class of 2015 High School Grads: Looking Ahead to the Future

February’s Family Literacy Night was filled with fabulous families, finger-licking food, fantastic fun and…you guessed it, alliteration!  After learning the meaning of alliteration, the families crafted their own poems using the literary device.
