March Dream Dinners

March Dream Dinners will be held on Monday, March 15th from 4-6 PM at the Dream Dinners inside the Piggly Wiggly on Forest Drive.

Please call or e-mail Becca to make a reservation or order items for pick-up, 256.3999 or bsmith@stlawrenceplace.org. All meals are $10 for 3-servings and $20 for 6-servings.

March 2010 Menu:

DIJON HONEY LIME GRILLED SALMON
Heart healthy salmon fillets are marinated in a delightful blend of lime for freshness, Dijon mustard for creaminess and a hint of honey for sweetness. Quick to broil, they will bring sophistication to any dinner occasion.

CLASSIC CHICKEN & DUMPLINGS
True comfort food! You'll love our version of this American favorite. Juicy, lean pieces of chicken breast, along with fresh carrots, celery, potatoes and peas are gently simmered in a creamy sauce with the perfect blend of herbs. Topped off in true southern fashion with home-style buttermilk biscuits.

CRISPY SESAME CHICKEN WITH GINGERED GREEN BEANS
This quick, Asian-influenced entrée features tender all natural chicken breasts wrapped in a crisp, golden sesame crust, ready to be baked at home and served with our tangy sweet and sour sauce. We include green beans cooked with ginger and butter then tossed with cashews creating an exciting combination.

BBQ SHRIMP & RICE
Sweet, tender shrimp are combined with fresh lemons and a sauce of butter, chili sauce, garlic and a wonderful mixture of herbs and spices. Serve with rice (provided). This unique recipe is quickly becoming a favorite!

TUSCAN CHICKEN WITH FETTUCCINE
Enjoy the taste of northern Italy in this light and lean Dream Dinner. All natural chicken breasts are seared to a golden brown and then simmered in a unique sauce flavored with tomatoes, garlic and tender artichoke hearts. All of the flavor with none of the guilt!

CITRUS MARINATED FISH TACOS
Megan Parcell from our Vacaville CA Dream Dinners wins for her recipe in the 2010 Cod fillets category. We were impressed with her creativity in coming up with this fun, family friendly meal. Tender white cod fillets are marinated in a light citrus sauce, grilled and served in tortillas with Pico de Gallo and a zesty sour cream.

SIMMERED CHINESE CHICKEN WITH JASMINE RICE
This Dream Dinners 2010 recipe contest winner in the chicken breast category was created by Kristi Van Ness from our Anaheim, CA location. Sweet yet spicy, a truly intoxicating combination! You can always use less heat for the little ones, but we encourage you to try this ""as is"" for it is definitely a WINNER!

SAGE CRUSTED PORK CHOPS
The recipe contest winner in the pork chop category is from Brenda Crawshaw from our Framingham MA location. Her simple, quick, kid friendly and of course delicious recipe made this an easy winner! Golden boneless pork chops are coated in a Parmesan cheese and breading mixture flavored with hints of sage.

MEDITERRANEAN PASTA WITH CHICKEN
This is another effortless dish the whole family will love. Light Alfredo sauce is blended with lean pieces of chicken breast, artichoke hearts, sun-dried tomatoes, olives, feta cheese, and freshened up with our basil pesto, all mixed with Penne pasta to create this creamy baked pasta dish.

BRUSCHETTA CHICKEN SKEWERS
This healthy chicken dish is designed to be either a lovely family dinner or a fun appetizer at your next party! You can simply bake and serve or slice the chicken breasts and thread onto skewers (provided) and bake. Complimented by the classic flavors of a bruschetta topping blending chopped tomatoes, garlic, basil, olive oil and spices.

OVEN BAKED ALMOND CHICKEN
Treat your family to crispy, almond baked chicken. All ages love these natural chicken breasts, rolled in a golden crust of almonds and served with our improved sweet and sour dipping sauce. A Dream Dinners signature dish!

CHICKEN MIRABELLA
This is one of our signature dishes, often asked for and always loved! Our all natural chicken breasts are baked with the savory tang of capers and mellowed with the natural sweetness of dried plums. The finished dish is perfect for entertaining or a nice way to treat yourself at the end of a busy day.

CARIBBEAN PORK ROAST WITH HONEY MUSTARD SAUCE The sun drenched flavors of the Caribbean were our inspiration for this pork roast. Roasted with Jamaican jerk spice blend, then finished with a glorious sauce of ginger, garlic, lime, Dijon mustard and honey. (6-serving only)
