These poems were written by the children of St. Lawrence Place. While they are different in many ways- they have at least two things in common: they have lost a home and they have found another here.  Below is a sample of the poetry the children created.

What a Home Means to Me

By: Samaryia

A home is a place that is nice

And has beds

A place where I have toys and has a closet

A place where my friends, NaShayla, Baileigh and Sonya come to play

A book of their poems, home, has been created by the children of St. Lawrence Place. The cover design includes the painting “heartsong” by Roger Hutchison.  If you are interested in a copy, for a donation of your choice, please contact Jessica Malovic at jmalovic@stlawrenceplace.org
